Privacy Policy

Boring Cardio is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what is shared with third parties.

The short version: Your data stays on your device. We do not collect it, we do not store it on servers, and we do not share it with anyone.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your iPhone and, where applicable, synced via your personal iCloud account:

• Profile information you provide (age, weight, resting heart rate, max heart rate, activity level)
• Workout history (speed, incline, duration, heart rate samples)
• App preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device or your personal iCloud account. We have no access to it and no ability to retrieve it.

2. Apple HealthKit

If you choose to grant access, the app reads heart rate data from Apple HealthKit to provide workout analysis and heart rate zone tracking.

• HealthKit data is used solely for the app’s core fitness functionality.
• HealthKit data is never shared with third parties.
• HealthKit data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining.
• HealthKit data is never transmitted to external servers.

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

Boring Cardio does not:

• Collect personally identifiable information
• Use analytics SDKs or tracking frameworks
• Use advertising frameworks or display ads
• Share data with third parties
• Track your location
• Store data on external servers

4. In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

5. Standard Platform Data

Apple may collect standard App Store analytics, including crash reports and aggregated usage statistics, as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. This data collection is controlled by your iOS privacy settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements) and is not initiated or controlled by our app.

6. Children’s Privacy

Boring Cardio is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Because we do not collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
